As a kid, one of my favorite horror films was Pet Cemetery. I remember watching it any time I caught it on the TV. Now what I am about to share is something like it came right from Stephen King’s books! A cat by the name of Bart has people talking all over the world.
Ellis Hutson, a 52 year old man in Tampa found his 1 and a half yea old cat last week in the middle of the street. He was completely lifeless, cold, and laying in a puddle of his own blood. He had apparently been hit by a car. Hudson said “I couldn’t stand to bury the cat.” and had asked his neighbor to dig a shallow grave in which to lay Bart’s lifeless body near where he was found. The shocking part of this story is what happened 5 days later.
Bart returned hop with a broken jaw, a ruptured eye, and several open wounds. He was ALIVE!!! Talk about a tale from the crypt! Hudson said “It was unbelievable, I’ve never seen anything like that before.”. While many have never experienced it, it has been told for centuries of the man named Jesus Christ who was alive once more after 3 days of death. Resurrection from the dead is also depicted in many other beliefs, books, and religions around the world.
Because Hudson could not afford the veterinarian clinics in the area, he turned to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. He pulled through his surgery and the vets say he will be just fine and healthy once he is fully recovered but he will be missing one of his eyes.
“Bart came through his surgery very well and is resting comfortably in our care,” the Humane Society said today. “He will be able to go home in five to seven days once he is able to eat on his own. Full recovery will take about six weeks. He is a brave boy!”
“The guy genuinely, believe me, cares about this cat,” Sherry Silk, Humane Society’s executive director told Tampa Bay Times. “He’s a well-meaning guy.”
Dusty Albritton who buried Bart called him coming back to life “God’s Miracle. He was quoted saying “I saw him with my own eyes, I know he was dead. He was cold and stiff.”.
